When you order an item or set from this site, left over yarn is used [in addition to specific yarn purchases] for charity items being made for donation. So when you order an item or set, you are donating to charity as well as paying for the cost of materials used in the actual item.

If you wish to have an item made for donation, use the order form to request the item you select from the menu of items, arrange for payment and designate a charity to which to have it sent.

You can select one listed on the CharityInfo page or designate one of your own. If you designate one of your own, list the name and address to which it will be sent. The cost of the item plus shipping and handling will be included in your payment.
